CLAMP music meme...

Made by me!!!! Because I have recently been rereading and reading all of Clamps works, I came up with a meme idea. A music meme! I will first go through all Clamp works I have read and put what song I associate with that work next to it. Maybe quote which lyrics and why I link that particular series with that certain song. Then I will do a shuffle version and see which songs the universe would like to pair with each series. Got to give Hitsuzen a turn. So yeah. I know everything I do is related to Clamp, but with such amazing works how can I not. Okay here we go. I will do it in order of publication just to keep things organized...

RG Veda- Warriors By Imagine Dragons
It such a befitting battle tune for this manga about overtaking an evil ruler. I especially like the lyrics "I will take my throne above..." which works because Ashura is basically a god. Also "built this town from dust..." well have you seen all the dust... lol I kid.

Man of Many Faces- Work Bitch by Britney Spears
Do I even have to explain this one. It's funny because I feel like this is what his mothers say to him when they really want him to steal something for them. It's fitting because in some ways its just not fitting does that make sense? 

Tokyo Babylon- My Blood by Ellie Goulding
"With all the blood I lost with you it drowns the love I thought I knew" so works. This song basically describes Subaru being betrayed by Seishiro. Also if we want to get really deep(spoilers) Seishiro did kill Subaru's sister Hokuto and because they are such close relatives their blood is kind of the same here. If you have read this manga check out this song and you should know what I mean.

Clamp School Detectives- Superstar by Toybox
I need say nothing here. If you don't know the song, please check it out and you will understand. I can go no deeper for a manga so funny and kind of ridiculous(I say that with love.)

Duklyon: Clamp School Defenders- Go(Fighting Dreamers) by Flow
First thing that popped into my head when I thought of this hilarious manga. This Naruto opening just seemed perfect for these guys. Whether or not the english lyrics agree(I have no idea what they are) I say this "suits" it... eh... get it... cause they wear mecha suits...no...okay.

Shirahime-Syo Snow Goddess Tales- My Boots by LIGHTS
I choose this song because it is all about winter and being ready for the cold and just the beauty of the season. I don't remember much about this manga but I figure this song is a better choice than "Let it Go". You are welcome.

X-Angel of Darkness byAlex C ft Yasmin K
I chose this song over a few others because the lyrics. It just sounds like Kamui to Fuma. Even if it doesn't have quite the amount of darkness that the actual manga does. I also like how it doesn't tell you how the battle ends, because the manga doesn't give us an end, it just says they will fight. Good enough for me.

Magic Knight Rayearth- Friends by Hedley
This is really fitting. A song about going your separate ways but also about growing up and just being friends forever, which I think goes with the manga really well. Check out the song if you don't know it because whether you know the manga you will probably relate to the song anyways. It also works because its kind of about how with your friends you can do anything. I wanted to pick "God is A Girl" for this one but I felt that only focused on Princess Emreaude and... Mokona, not the main heroines.

The One I Love- Here in Your Arms by HelloGoodbye
Just a good love song to go to all the love stories in this manga. This manga was really interesting to read because it was 12 or 13 different love stories tackling all different aspects of relationships. Insecurity, long distance, having common interests. This was a hard one to pick for because I had to think about that many different stories, but I like my choice.   

Card Captor Sakura- When Can I See You Again by Owl City
This song is so fun and upbeat like the manga. I feel it maybe plays more to the ending of the manga but I seen it in my itunes and was like this is the song. I tried finding a love song because that is one of the main themes but I thought this song was much better. It just made me think of all the costumes and the times they fought together.

Wish- Thousand Years by Christina Perri
Self explanatory. Yeah Kohaku may not have to wait a thousand years but still one hundred is still a long time. Many life times she lives through waiting and not always getting her man. Oh my god I love this manga so much. So heart breaking and beautiful. It is one of the hardest to find too. It is almost like I must wait a thousand years to reread it. This song just made for this masterpiece of a manga.

Clover- Cinderella by Miss Papaya
This song, again, isn't as dark as the manga is but it does fit. "Soon I will break this magic spell and take his love away", or "Fairy won't you rescue me". Sue just wants someone to come and take her away and not to be alone. Her fairy god mother was pretty much Oruha. This is another top fave manga by Clamp. so much feeling and heart break.

Angelic Layer- Sweep The Leg by Family Force 5
Ummm I didn't pick a serious song because well the manga isn't too serious. I also was thinking of the badassness of Hikaru and the other angels. This song also has elements of video games in it which also goes well with Angelic Layer. Yup I say good pick.

Legal Drug/Drug and Drop- All About Us by t.A.T.u 
This was really hard. Finding a song for this manga, one I love. I think because it hasn't ended yet and I have no idea how it's going to end for them I am just like... all the mystery. I do feel though that what ever is about to happen is all about the two main characters. Like  Kakei and Saiga have been waiting for them so yeah. It is also because Rikuo and Kazahaya have each other. They have to do it together, they need one another. God I want to know what the ending is for these two whether it tears me apart or not.

Chobits- I Love You by Avril Lavigne
"The reason I love you is you" Yup right there. Hideki loves Chi as Chi no matter what. And same goes for Chi. The title itself says it all.

XxX Holic- The Ballade of Mona Lisa by Panic at the Disco
Oh my gosh this song sounds like everything that Yuko and the shop is. "There is nothing wrong with just a taste of what you paid for" Like okay Yuko. Just listen and you will understand.  
Rou- Silhouette by Owl City
So I am doing each section of XxX Holic separately because they each make me feel different things. There is that common sadness but there is a song for each. I love how Owl City has a perfect song for just what Rou is and the loneliness that comes with it.
Rei- Still Here by Nightcore
Okay for those of you who haven't read or even discovered this arc of Holic don't read this. Anyways this song totally is what I imagine it was like when Watanuki woke up from that dream. Like how heart destroying to have to go into dreams and see your love again(Doumeki) and then come back to your reality where he isn't. Like damn.

Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles- I Owe You One by LIGHTS
So many prices were paid in this manga like holy crap I don't know how Yuko kept track of it all. I was surprised that I didn't have any songs in mind that I relate to this manga. I mean it's my favorite there should have been something but no. But I think this song has so much meaning for this manga in so many ways. Especially in the view of all the characters.

Kobato- Angel by Theory of a Deadman
This is more to Iroyogi's point of view but I guess in some ways it is from Fujimoto's too. I would put all the lyrics here because they work so well but I will say just check out the song and you will see.

Gate 7- Team by Lorde
Since this manga is on hiatus and only has four volumes I don't have much to go on but this song does work. These guys have been a team for what many many years?They certainly know how to run things. I just like the match here.
